In many Swiss cantons there are no specific classes available yet for pregnant migrant women.
Our national strategies and consultations recommend setting up programmes in more regions. This will improve equal opportunities for migrant women and their children.
mamamundo Bern is happy to share its experience. The Swiss foundation for the Promotion of Health is funding a coaching programme to offer support, via the mamamundo team, to project groups in those cantons that do not have an existing offer. A written handbook is also available.
mamamundo is a licensed, externally evaluated programme. It has a detailed and well-established course concept and handbook for implementing at new locations.
